OUR TEAM OF TALENT

I came to the pastry world from my sincere love of sweets, especially all things chocolate.   After some inner reflection, I took a leap of faith and attended Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts here in Austin.  It gave me a solid foundation to start from, as well as the confidence that my "leap of faith" was a step in the right direction.  I carried that knowledge into my first pastry job as a morning baker for non other than La Patisserie, as well as a stage at Parkside under Chef Steven Cak.  The things I learned from pastry school, my brief time with Chef Cak and working under Soraiya for the past 7 years have been invaluable to my current successes and my drive for future accomplishments.

Outside of work, my family enjoys hiking, camping, and road trips.  Not an actual activity, but I'm always on the hunt for the best chocolate croissants and truffles.  Thus far, La Patisserie has the best chocolate croissant in Austin...I may be bias but I have tried many and it holds up for me.

AMBER QUISENBERRY

Pastry Chef & Wholesale Liason

I grew up in Palm Springs California and moved to Phoenix AZ in 2011 to pursue my culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale AZ. I graduated college in 2012.

I met the love of my life in pastry school and after 2 more years in AZ working at a local bakery while bar-tending we picked up our lives and decided to move to Austin TX in January 2014.

I worked downtown at Delish for 9 months before finding my dream job and bakery in September 2014 at La Patisserie.

I will be celebrating my 3 year anniversary here this fall :) I enjoy scrapbooking, long naps on my couch and I really love food! I love being organized and paying attention to detail when it comes to decorating my pastries and cakes. I would have to say my favorite thing on our menu is our Lemon Meringue Tarts! Coming in a close second is the Lemon Blueberry Scones.
