Love + Macarons

We always feel incredibly honored when people ask La Pâtisserie to cater their special event, to create a birthday cake, or even deliver breakfast pastries. We are delighted to share our creations with others. It’s the best part of our job! This past weekend we had the honor of creating wedding favors for a lovely couple, Erica and Jeremy. The couple came to us a year ago with wedding cake inquiries and instead walked away with macarons on their mind. After one tasting, they were charmed by our colorful confections.

We often have customers who have never tried a macaron or confuse our french macarons with the coconut based confection macaroon. I love to see the joy on people’s faces when they take their first bite of our macarons and are completely elated. Macarons have been a bit of a food trend the past few years. There are thousands of blog posts, articles, books and photographs all about this meringue filled cookie, but I never grow tired of seeing people’s first reaction to our macarons. Much like Erica and Jeremy, they fall in love.
